Tara & James’s Engagement Session! | Morgans Park, Glen Cove

I photographed Tara and James’s engagement session last night at Morgans Park in Glen Cove. I was not too familiar with the park, but after photographing a surprise proposal there earlier this summer I knew it would be a perfect location for an engagement session. We (finally) had a beautiful evening to walk around the park, chasing that golden light through the trees then headed down to the water for the second part of the session. Tara and James came fully prepared with two outfits, a bottle of champagne, and a cute sign of their wedding date. I loved that for the beach sunset portion of the shoot they had a more “dressed up” outfit with Tara in a gorgeous lace cream dress and James in dark jeans and a tan blazer that Tara had recently picked out for him. I really think that is the way to do it if you are thinking about bringing two outfits for an engagement session. Not to mention, Tara is a girly girl like me and we both love to get dressed up so she totally rocked it! We ended the session right at sunset on the water where James popped open the bottle of bubbly with their wedding date on it. I cannot wait for these two to get married next October at Smithtown Landing Country Club! Cheers!
