As a Long Island wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to photograph weddings at so many incredible venues across the North Shore, Hamptons, and North Fork over the years. And you know what? Besides being a part of so many special celebrations, one of the best parts of this job is getting to experience how different each venue feels and finding the best spots to capture wedding photos.
If you’re currently searching for Long Island wedding venues, I wanted to put together a list of some of my personal favorites. From waterfront estates and historic mansions to vineyards and garden venues, these are all places I genuinely love working at and would wholeheartedly recommend to my couples.
Peconic Bay Yacht Club
For couples who want a waterfront wedding wedding, it’s hard to beat Peconic Bay Yacht Club. Sitting right on the Peconic Bay with a dock full of beautiful yachts, this venue completely leans into that refined coastal feel without feeling overly beachy. The cocktail hour space upstairs is one of my favorite spots at this venue, as it opens up right out to the water.
One of the things I love most about Peconic Bay Yacht Club is their top-tier service. John and Hilary truly know what they’re doing and run the day so well, which makes such a difference for couples and vendors alike. You will not be disappointed!

RGNY
Modern, laid-back, and quintessential North Fork charm — that’s what you get at RGNY! This family-owned vineyard is such a fun venue option, offering a completely different feel compared to some of the more traditional Long Island wedding venues.
What I appreciate most is how flexible the space feels at RGNY. Whether you’re planning a larger tented wedding surrounded by the vines or something smaller and more intimate, there are so many unique areas throughout the property to make the day your own. Their wide range of venue sizes and styles also makes this a great venue for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and other wedding-related celebrations.

The Vineyards at Aquebogue
If you’re looking for North Fork wine country vibes without the stress (or price tag) of DIYing a blank canvas, The Vineyards at Aquebogue is the place for you. Between the gardens, vineyard rows, and surrounding farmland, the property is absolutely beautiful in every direction you look. The indoor and outdoor spaces are all well-maintained and flexible, too, so you don’t have to worry much about weather.
From a photographer’s perspective, some of my favorite spots on the property are out in the vineyards, around the willow tree, and the open farmland out back — especially during October and November when the sunsets on the North Fork are picture perfect.

Bedell Cellars
There are clearly plenty of vineyards to choose from on Long Island (especially on the North Fork), but there’s something about Bedell Cellars that really sets it apart for me. It just feels so effortlessly cool. I love the open-air feel of the pavilion space. It’s elegant without trying too hard, which just feels so reflective of the North Fork itself.

I especially love this venue for couples who want a more customizable wedding experience instead of a traditional banquet hall setting. Picture this: Cocktail hour spilling out onto the deck at golden hour, with nothing but vineyard views from all around. It sounds blissful because it is. Definitely give this spot a tour and you’ll see!

Bourne Mansion
If your dream wedding is more on the timeless black tie side, Bourne Mansion is truly in a category of its own. This historic Vanderbilt-era estate is one of the largest historic homes in America, and every part of the property feels incredibly luxurious.
From the sweeping lawns to the stunning architecture, this is a venue that transports you in time to the Gilded Age. The property is so expansive and beautifully maintained, which makes it an absolute dream for a Long Island wedding photographer like myself. There are endless opportunities for portraits, like on the grand staircase, in the formal gardens, and on the column-lined front steps.

Flowerfield Celebrations
Oh, how I adore this gorgeous St. James venue! I wrote all about why I love this place in my Flowerfield wedding venue guide, and I’m here to sing its praises again. As the name suggests, the property is filled with lush gardens and flowers everywhere, so you know the outdoor ceremonies are beautiful here. Though if you ask me, it’s hard to beat The Atrium for a memorable ceremony space with tons of character.

As a photographer who has shot many Flowerfield weddings, I don’t think I’ll ever get over the abundance of photo ops around their 12 acres of private property. From orchards and vineyards to some super cool indoor spaces, there’s no limit to the kinds of photos we can capture on your big day.

The Mansion at Oyster Bay
The Mansion at Oyster Bay feels like stepping straight into a classic Gold Coast estate wedding. Tucked away on 120 private acres in Woodbury, this venue is full of timeless elegance with grand ballrooms, historic architecture, and some of the most beautifully maintained gardens on Long Island. Everywhere you turn feels polished and romantic in a very old New York kind of way.
The grounds here are what truly stand out to me. The gardens are absolutely immaculate and photograph beautifully throughout every season. If you’re envisioning a classic Long Island mansion wedding with a luxurious feel and tons of history behind it, I highly recommend checking out The Mansion at Oyster Bay.

Brecknock Hall
The second you step into Brecknock Hall, it feels like you’ve left Long Island entirely. This historic manor in Greenport feels like something straight out of the English countryside with so much charm and character packed into every corner of the property. Between the historic architecture, cozy parlors, sprawling lawns, and waterfront cliff overlook, the entire venue feels incredibly romantic and unique.
This is one of those venues that people walk into and immediately start saying, “wait… this is on Long Island?” It has such a cozy, old-world feel to it that makes wedding days here feel really special. Between the charming interior spaces and all of the tucked-away spots around the property, there are so many little corners that feel straight out of a movie.

Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium
The Vanderbilt Museum feels like one of Long Island’s most magical wedding venues. Perched above Northport Bay in Centerport, the entire property is full of old-world Gold Coast charm with Spanish Revival architecture, gorgeous waterfront views, and sooo many hidden gardens and pathways to explore.

As a photographer, I enjoy going with the flow and walking through the many photo opportunities to see what “clicks” with a couple. Between the grand Corinthian columns, scenic Rose Garden, and intimate Sundial Garden, I mean it when there are endless portrait locations throughout the property. We’ll definitely have fun here.
Note: The Vanderbilt Museum allows wedding day photo sessions, so many of my couples choose to stop here for portraits between their ceremony and reception.

Oceanbleu
For my beach-loving couples, Oceanbleu is hard to top. Sitting right on the Atlantic in Westhampton Beach, this venue has some of the most incredible ocean views on Long Island. Between the dunes, sandy beach, and floor-to-ceiling ballroom windows overlooking the water, the entire property feels like the definition of coastal luxury.
What makes Oceanbleu especially fun is that it really can turn into a full wedding weekend experience. Guests can stay right at the resort, spend time by the pool or beach, and fully lean into that Hamptons getaway feeling. From a photography perspective, the sunsets here are unreal, especially by the jetty and along the shoreline once the light starts to soften in the evening.
