Let me be clear: There are so many amazing wedding venues in Long Island to choose from, but a Vineyards at Aquebogue wedding is just truly something special. It’s not just the grounds (which are gorgeous as you can imagine), but the facility is so well maintained that it has become one of my all-time favorite places to photograph weddings.
As a Long Island wedding photographer, I’ve captured many weddings at this North Fork vineyard and I am captivated by its beauty every single time. Let me tell you all about this gem of a property and whether it’s a good fit for your celebration.
What I love about The Vineyards at Aquebogue weddings
Tucked away in the heart of Long Island wine country, this venue has such a warm and welcoming feel from the moment you arrive. It captures everything to love about the North Fork: rows and rows of vines, vast open farmland, and the best sunsets.

But more than that, I just love how easy weddings are at The Vineyards at Aquebogue. The staff are truly some of my favorite people on Long Island. They are incredibly attentive, organized, and kind, and after photographing so many weddings here, they genuinely make me feel like family every time I walk onto the property. Having a venue team you fully trust makes such a difference on your wedding day, and that’s a huge reason why I love working here so much!
Of course, I can’t ignore the breathtaking setting but honestly, that speaks for itself. Some of my favorite photo spots are under the willow tree, among the rows of vines, and in the open farmlands. (I also adore the bridal suite!)

The Vineyards at Aquebogue wedding ceremony and reception spaces
One of the best things about The Vineyards at Aquebogue is how the entire venue flows from one space to the next. Though there are plenty of hidden corners of the property for photos, there are three main event spaces for your wedding.
The Garden Terrace

The Garden Terrace is the main outdoor ceremony space and easily one of the prettiest spots on the property. Surrounded by lush gardens, mature trees, and rows upon rows of vines, it has such a classic North Fork feel. The white arbor covered in greenery creates such a beautiful focal point for the ceremony and looks stunning dressed up with florals. I also love how close it is to cocktail hour since guests can head right onto the covered patio once the ceremony ends!
The Covered Patio

The Covered Patio is one of my favorite spaces at the venue. It has the airy feel of a tented reception while still being a permanent structure, which makes it feel elevated but relaxed at the same time. This space is often used for cocktail hour, though it also works beautifully for open-air receptions. At night, the overhead lighting makes the entire patio glow, and the surrounding landscaping allows the party to flow out onto the lawn.
The Indoor Ballroom

The Indoor Ballroom brings a more traditional feel to the wedding day. It’s classic and elegant without feeling overly formal and works beautifully with so many different design styles. One of the standout features is the grand staircase, which always makes for such a fun reception entrance. Since the ballroom connects directly to the patio through French doors, guests can easily move between the indoor and outdoor spaces all night long.

The Vineyards at Aquebogue wedding cost: Budget expectations
Compared to many other Long Island wedding venues, The Vineyards at Aquebogue feels very competitively priced for the experience you receive. It falls somewhere in the middle range of Lessing’s venues — not the most expensive, but definitely not the lowest either.
One of the biggest advantages is that couples can enjoy the vineyard wedding aesthetic without taking on the additional costs and logistics that often come with booking a private winery. Many winery weddings require outside catering, rentals, and hefty site fees just to close the property for the day. Here, the experience feels much more inclusive. The venue team handles so much behind the scenes, allowing couples to enjoy a vineyard celebration without all the extra stress!
Insider tips for planning a Vineyards at Aquebogue wedding
If you’re considering this venue, my biggest piece of advice is to seriously consider a fall wedding date. October and November weddings here are unbelievable. The changing leaves, warm tones in the vines, and golden sunsets create some of the prettiest wedding photos imaginable.
I’d also encourage couples to look into Friday or Sunday weddings in addition to Saturdays! Besides potential pricing advantages, those dates can sometimes give you more flexibility with scheduling. Depending on the time of year, Saturdays may include both daytime and evening weddings, while Friday or Sunday celebrations can feel a little more relaxed and private. It’s definitely worth exploring all the options to see what works best for your vision.
