Soft white and green tones, lace details, and immaculate weather out in the vines — Danielle and James’ Bedell Cellars wedding in Cutchogue, NY was an absolutely perfect kickoff to summer on the North Fork. You would never believe that they planned their big day in just six months (I know!), but it all came together for a celebration that felt completely timeless, sophisticated and curated from start to finish.
As their Long Island wedding photographer, I loved every moment of documenting the moments that made their big day feel entirely their own.
Getting Ready at Bedell Cellars
Knowing Danielle and James, you’d never guess they planned such an incredible wedding in only a few months! Every detail felt carefully considered, proving that with a clear vision (and a bit of determination), beautiful celebrations don’t always require years of planning.
One of my favorite moments happened before the ceremony when Danielle left James a series of handwritten Post-it notes to discover throughout the wedding day. It’s such a simple, personal gesture that was also a nod to their day-to-day relationship, as Danielle often leaves sweet notes around James to find.
Danielle and her bridesmaids embraced the vineyard setting with elegant olive green dresses, while James and his groomsmen looked timeless in classic black tuxedos. The clean white and green floral palette tied everything together beautifully and complemented Bedell Cellars’ relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
Before the wedding ceremony, Danielle and James had a sweet first look that brought tears to my eyes. I could just tell how excited they were to finally say “I do” and officially call each other husband and wife!
Bedell Cellars Wedding Ceremony
Bedell Cellars has two gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony spaces for couples to tie the knot — the apple orchard and the west lawn. I love the scenery at this Long Island wedding venue, and I truly think you can’t go wrong with either option!
Danielle and James went with the apple orchard, which meant tons of shade and lush greenery for their ceremony.
Cocktail Hour + Spring Vineyard Portraits
After the wedding ceremony, guests headed over to the lawn for an open-air cocktail hour with refreshing signature cocktails and some of the best vineyard views on Long Island. It was peak North Fork vibes with delicious Bedell Cellars wines alongside an incredible raw seafood bar from Braun Seafood.
At that point, it was time for me to sneak away with Danielle and James over to the vineyards for some gorgeous spring wedding portraits. Springtime in the vines never fails to provide the perfect backdrop for portraits. The fresh greenery and soft light made every corner of the property feel picture-perfect!
Bedell Cellars Wedding Reception
Inside the reception, the timeless design continued with crisp white florals, classic greenery, rattan chandeliers, and elegant white lace tablecloths and runners. It had this romantic boho chic vibe that was minimal enough to let the venue’s beauty shine through!
When Danielle and James first reached out after finding me through Instagram and my website, they told me they connected with both my energy and my eye for documenting weddings. It was such an honor to capture a celebration that reflected exactly who they are while preserving every thoughtful detail they worked so hard to create.
