Over the weekend I photographed Stephanie and Mike’s stunning engagement session. Stephanie and I went to Middle and High School together, so naturally when she asked me to be her wedding photographer I was ecstatic. Stephanie and her husband-to-be live up in Vermont but Stephanie is drawn to the area where we grew up, much like I am, and wanted to shoot her engagement session on Long Island. We started at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay – an all time favorite location of mine. The leaves were just starting to change and it was right at golden hour so the sunlight was absolutely perfect. Stephanie looked gorgeous in her long floral dress that complimented Mike’s salmon shirt. Mike was a little serious at first, but once he started walking around with Stephanie all dolled up he couldn’t help but crack a few smiles and enjoy the afternoon! After walking around the grounds we headed over to Theodore Roosevelt Park for the second part of their session. We had a beautiful blue sky over the bay as the sun was setting behind the trees. The couple changed outfits for this part, going for a more casual fall look which was perfect for cuddling up on the beach and enjoying the view. I cannot wait for this couples wedding this time next year up in Vermont! I know it is going to be a great one!
