I have been looking forward to Jill and Matt’s wedding since the moment I first started chatting with them. Jill and Matt are such a low key, down to earth couple that just make you feel like you have known them your whole life. Their wedding day was a very easy going day and I am absolutely thrilled with everything that we captured. Much like their Port Jefferson engagement session, in the beginning of the day it was raining and dreary. I was a little nervous knowing we were heading to the beautiful Frank Melville Park for photos after the ceremony, but luckily for us the blue skies made their way to us right after the couple said “I Do”. The three of us agreed that it must be “their thing” for it to rain right before having an epic photo session.
The Church was selling pumpkins right on the front lawn which made a perfect little pumpkin patch for some portraits with the new Mr and Mrs. Not to mention how awesome is Jill’s Dads classic car?! Jill rode in style to the church and of course we grabbed some shots of the bride and groom with the sleek black Ford before heading over to The Bates House. Frank Melville Park is such a dream location to photograph, especially when you have a couple as easy going as Jill and Matt. We walked around the park and captured some beautiful images of the newlyweds. I have SO many favorites that it was hard to select just a few for the blog.
I can’t forget to mention how much I loved the flowers from this wedding – they were made by Wholefoods! Who knew?! Jill and Matt were also especially excited for the lobster dinner as were we, since the lovely couple agreed that whatever they were eating, we were eating (bonus points to them – the lobster was fantastic). Farm to Table by Filomena was the caterer and as always the food was phenomenal. If you are looking to hire an outside caterer for your wedding or just want to have lunch at an awesome place I would highly suggest paying a visit to Farm to Table, you won’t be disappointed! The inside of their wedding reception was beautifully decorated thanks to Paige Marion and their wedding planner Mandi. The inside of the Bates House had such a warm rustic feel that really tied together the whole wedding day.
Here is to you Jill and Matt. Cheers!
