Lauren and Tom flew me and Cait down to Punta Cana to photograph their destination wedding. After the torrential downpours on their New York wedding day we were thrilled to have some sunshine! We spent a few days hanging out with the couple and their awesome families, soaking in some rays, scoping out the best spots for wedding portraits, and waking up at 5:00 am for an epic sunrise session with the couple. The wedding day was absolutely perfect. Blue skies, a slight sea breeze, and lots and lots of sunshine! Destination wedding vibes are my new favorite thing – everyone is so calm after a few days of R&R and are just there to have the best day ever! Also having everything right at the resort makes the day go by so smoothly and effortlessly. I loved all of the tropical colors incorporated into the wedding and that ceremony right on the water was to die for. Lauren and Tom got ready in separate rooms and saw each other for the first time at their ceremony. The couple wrote their own vows for this wedding and it was just the sweetest! After the ceremony we walked around the resort taking photographs before heading into the reception. Right after the sun had set we head back out to the water to grab some more photos of the couple (I couldn’t help myself!) before heading back into the reception to dance the night away.
