Guys – we finally had a rain free wedding day! I cannot even believe it! All week I kept my eye on the weather (and Hurricane Florence’s path) and just kept hoping we had a glimpse of sunshine for Karen and John’s wedding day – and boy did we ever! Karen and John’s engagement session you may remember from last December right after the first snowfall. They didn’t make a peep about the cold, just kept those big contagious smiles on their face and positive energy. They really are some of the best people to be around. Easy to talk to, easy to pose, I mean really they made my life so incredibly easy!
Karen and John had an amazing wedding day. Smooth timeline. Blue skies. Lots of sunshine. The details were just beautiful – dusty bridesmaids dresses, blush and ivory florals, a classic look for the bride, and navy suits for the guys. Lots of greens and blues to compliment the bride and grooms favorite colors. After tying the knot at St. Peter of Alacantara we head right on over to North Shore Country Club in Glen Head. Oh and I cannot forget to mention one of the best parts – we had two hours for portraits before cocktail hour. Like, what?! I thought I was dreaming. We walked (and drove) around the golf course with the bride and groom and bridal party, exploring different areas and taking in the gorgeous day we were given. Karen and John just melted into each other during their portraits… full of smiles, love, and overall joy. When it came time for cocktail hour Karen surprised John with customized corn hole games. The cocktail hour was held on the outside patio while their reception was being set up inside the main ballroom (a gorgeous room surrounded by big windows letting in the most gorgeous setting sunlight) I can’t forget to mention the way Karen and John tore up the dance floor – I was completely blow away! I had no clue they were such dancers and huge fans of the 60’s and 70’s hits! Congratulations Karen & John, I wish you many more years of love and happiness together! Cheers!
