I met Jaime and Tamir at their engagement session. What?! Yeah. Jamie and I had chatted on the phone and booked before we even met. It turns out Tamir and I actually went to college together! Small world. After seeing a past engagement session on the blog they decided on Planting Fields Arboretum. I always find it funny when couples warn me they aren’t great in front of the camera. Guys, you aren’t professional models. I totally get it! Lucky for you I am a professional photographer and can lead you on the right path (and mold and sculpt you into perfection!)
We had the most gorgeous early fall afternoon to walk through Planting Fields. There actually happened to be about two other engagement sessions going on and a few weddings as well. The couple had never been to the park so we enjoyed our time admiring the gorgeous landscapes and architecture. Jamie and Tamir are such a beautiful couple. They were so incredibly easy to photograph and had the biggest smiles every time they looked at each other. I loved capturing those in between moments when they weren’t sure if I was still shooting or not.
After exploring the park and a quick outfit change we head on over to Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park, also in Oyster Bay. Jamie changed into the exact dress she wore when Tamir proposed on the beach in Hawaii (how romantic!) While we lost daylight fairly quickly at the beach (it was an overcast day) we still captured some sweet moments on the rocky shore before parting ways.
See you guys next year in New Jersey! Cheers!
