Jessica & Brian’s Engagement! | Nassau County Museum of Art

I have been a little quiet here on the blog. I am hibernating for the winter, anxiously anticipating the arrival of the warmer weather and all the amazing shoots it will bring! Yesterday I head on over to the Nassau County Museum of Art to photograph Brian’s surprise proposal to Jessica. This proposal actually has a very funny story :

Leading up to the proposal date I asked Brian to send me a photo of him and Jessica (so I had an idea who to stalk / look for in the museum). I had mentioned to him she looked familiar to me, but I wasn’t sure if she would remember me. Well let me tell you, not only did Jessica immediately recognize me when walking into the gallery, but she even discussed it with Brian (who urged her NOT to approach me) before walking over to me. She greeted me with a warm hug and we immediately reconnected after not seeing each other for 10 years. I was sweating I was so anxious – I can only imagine what was going through Brian’s head! Fortunately Jessica saw the cute canvas Brian had placed in the corner of the gallery for her which broke up the conversation and presented the perfect opportunity for Brian to get down on one knee.

After wiping away her happy tears, Jessica was ready to brave the cold weather for some newly engaged portraits with Brian. These two were just radiating with happiness and excitement – their smiles were incredibly contagious!

Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness – Cheers!
