Lauren & Tom’s Engagement Session! | Michael’s Christmas Tree Farm

Normally I am against shooting engagement sessions after Thanksgiving. I am not much of a fan of cold weather and to be honest after standing outside smiling for 15 minutes, most couples aren’t either. I met Lauren and Tom only a couple weeks ago (after Lauren following me after shooting a mutual friends wedding years ago) and their wedding is this upcoming April! This didn’t leave us much time to shoot an engagement session so we thought what better place for a December engagement session than a Christmas Tree Farm! Lauren and Tom are a unique circumstance in that we have their Long Island wedding on a Monday in April then are jumping on a plane later that week for their weekend wedding in the Dominican Republic (hello sunshine!) During their very chilly engagement session I told them to keep thinking about how warm and beautiful their beach wedding will be – I think it helped! This is also the farm that I pick my christmas tree from and I must say it is a gorgeous property and very easy to photograph! Lauren and Tom were such good sports and we had some beautiful light for 12:00 noon – I couldn’t believe it!

See you guys in April for your weddings! Cheers!
