Rustic. Wedding. Chic. Taylor and Mike’s wedding completely defined this. Taylor and Mike only booked me a few months before their wedding and they were the sweetest most laid back people ever. We photographed their engagement session at Islip Grange in Sayville (another rustic dream) complete with all the golden hour vibes I could ask for. Taylor and Mike were referred to me by my couple Veronica and John who had a moody wedding this past January. After meeting Taylor and Mike we instantly clicked and I knew they would be a great couple to work with! Actually, I was happy to see my bride Veronica at Taylor’s prep doing her hair! Taylor got ready at her cousins home that was a full of rustic chic goodness. I didn’t end up using any of my styling tools I brought because everything I found around the house was just SO much better! I have to admit, I was so disappointed when I pulled up to the house that it was raining (and calling for rain allllll day) but having this house match the wedding theme was a huge relief! Mike got ready at a home in Northport that was equally as gorgeous. Mike got ready with his two groomsmen before heading over to the church in Bellmore. After tying the knot we snapped a few photos inside before heading over to their awesome venue – Queens County Farm Museum! Granted having the weather really put a damper (lol) on things, but we made the absolute best of it! We took family photos under their beautiful tent and ventured out into the rain with Taylor and Mike for some under the umbrella shots. The grounds (despite being completely soaked grass) were beautiful – acres of vegetables, sunflowers, oh and lots of different animals! Taylor and Mike didn’t let a little rain stop them from having the best day ever. The couple danced the night away, even when the power went out inside the tent! I can’t make this stuff up! Congratulations Taylor and Mike – I wish you nothing but the best in the future together! Cheers!
