kristina & joe’s engagement session! | planting fields, oyster bay

Kristina and Joe found inspiration for their engagement session by scrolling through my blog and finding Stephanie & Mike’s from last year. Oyster Bay is a great location for engagement sessions since we could shoot at Planting Fields, do a quick wardrobe change, then head on over to Theodore Roosevelt Park for some beach shots.

Kristina and Joe are easily comparable to Barbie and Ken. Every shot was I was screaming, “yesss!” and they looked great no matter what. I loved Kristina’s flowing wrap dress and cute summer sandals. Joe looked handsome in his white button down, cobalt blue pants and loafers. What outfit goals!

Planting Fields is one of my favorite places to shoot in the summer. I hadn’t been there since Veronica and John’s January wedding so needless to say it looked a little different – haha! Everything was green and in bloom and of course the warm weather and sun!

We couldn’t walk far without me stopping them for a photo opportunity. When you look like them and are in a place like this you just have to take complete advantage!

What blue eyed beauties!

I also think the adjectives of the day were “delicious” and “creamy”. All of the backgrounds were looking just so amazing – living a photographers dream. I forget that I sound ridiculous when I say such things out loud, though.

Parisian lavender fields inspo – swoon! Kristina had met me at the Bridal Expo in January and my golden hour shots were her favorite. I don’t blame you girl!

Kristina’s blue dress worked perfectly against this charming pink house don’t you think?

And we took full advantage of all of the roses in bloom. These roses are only lush for a few weeks out of the year and we happened to catch them.

You may know by now I am a sucker for an oval ring. Isn’t Kristina’s a beauty?! You did good Joe.

Kristina was just as obsessed as I was with the white flowers. We made sure to get some extra photos in front of them before heading on over to our second location.

Kristina and Joe moved in together in Long Beach and are naturally beach folk. Joe had never been to the North Shore so it was perfect to show them one of my favorite beaches.

I loved the relaxed beach look the couple created. It was perfect for some fun in the sun.

See you guys in May for your wedding day at Larkfield Manor! Cheers!
