gab & mike’s wedding! greywacke meadows, cropseyville

Not sure if you remember, but Gab and Mike had a pretty epic engagement session. On one of the coldest days of spring we head up to Faraway Farms (an alpaca farm) and from that moment on I knew their wedding day would be eclectic and fun. I have also known Gab pretty much my whole life so learning that her wedding was earthy and rustic came as no surprise.

The day started as a rainy morning (don’t they always)I was obsessed with this worn wooden chair. Earrings were handmade by another LVHS Alumni. This property was unbelievable. Both Gab and Mike got ready on location in their separate suites, full of quirky barn decor and rustic elements.
I loved the lightning bug details on their stationary and favors. Such a cute nod to summer in upstate New York. Aren’t these wildflower bouquets to die for? I have been trying to grow wildflowers all summer so I was swooning over these. So original!  These mismatched robes were everything!Gab’s mom and sister helped her into her dress.
Gab took care of everything else on her own. Isn’t she a doll?!
Another amazing first look with dad!Gab – the most naturally beautiful bride! Look at those twinkle lights in the background, too!
Those florals against those robins egg blue dresses. The corsages were also wrapped around a Nine Pin Cider can – where Gab works!Oh, did I mention that the rain stopped and blue skies started to sneak out? My goodness I was a happy camper! The ladies. On to groom prep – Mike got ready in the loft of the reception barn. Just like the ladies had their wildflower bouquets, the gentlemen had wildflower boutonnieres with dusty miller, all wrapped in twine.
Isn’t his tie just the cutest?!Best man and brother helping with his jacket before heading outside for portraits. What a good lookin’ groom! The guys. Time for the first look!I think Mike approved of his bride! And this vintage red pickup truck in front of the barn?! Yes please!
All of the green goodness that day. The ceremony had so much to work with – I could’ve photographed them for hours!Being in the middle of the woods, together. Thanks for being awesome guys. My second kept a look out for passing cars so we could take these “Pinterest worthy” shots.
The sun snuck out for just a moment – and that is all we needed. How adorable is that mid kiss / laugh shot?!RUNNING. YES TO RUNNING PLEASE. What a gorgeous ceremony site. So incredibly happy the weather turned around and they opted for an outdoor ceremony.
Pretty little rustic details. The sassy flower girl. Dad giving the bride away. So sweet!Readers, and the adorable flower girl insisted on being held by her dad.
I love this shot of her running across the aisle. So innocent. What’s a ceremony without a few laughs? And just like that they are husband & wife!Walking back over to the main barn – I was a kid in a candy store. Around each corner there was a new rustic detail and I loved it all. The caterer is also known for their infused waters. How neat?! I can’t forget to mention the homemade chrusciki cookies and cider donuts. First dance as newlyweds. Heartfelt toasts and parent dances. I cannot be happier for my dear friends – congratulations Gab and Mike! Cheers!
