danielle & jack’s wedding! | the fox hollow, woodbury

I have been waiting for Danielle and Jack’s wedding since the day Danielle told me she was engaged. I have known Danielle for many years now and after meeting Jack at their engagement session last year at Planting Fields I knew they were meant to be together. They were so naturally cute together and smiles lit up once they locked eyes. When we started to create their wedding day timeline we went back and forth on where to take portraits – Planting Fields like Danielle’s parents had done or their home in Locust Valley. The best fit for them was to have their engagement session at Planting Fields and wedding day portraits in Locust Valley. You will see later in this post that we made the absolute best choice.
My day started at the Inn at Fox Hollow where Danielle was getting ready. I immediately noticed the deep red roses in the ladies bouquets – Flowers by Burton have outdone themselves again!Danielle”s gown was timeless and elegant. I loved the lace sleeves and lace details throughout the gown. It also fit her absolutely beautifully. She had just picked up the gown the day before her wedding at Kleinfelds. Isn’t Danielle just a beauty?! Her eyes and all of that hair  – swoon! (I have had hair envy since her engagement session) Getting closer to showtime! Helping her sister Cailin get ready so that she can help Danielle get ready. Mom stepped in too – You always need Mom! Danielle opted for sparkly Kate Spade Keds as her wedding day shoes. This was the smartest decision she could make! She was a happy, comfortable bride all day and they are super cute, too!Finishing touches before the big reveal with Dad! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room – Dad was blown away by how beautiful his daughter looked on her wedding day. Danielle is such a beauty inside and out. In her wedding day questionnaire she made sure to mention that she wanted me to feel like one of the girls. She has the warmest heart and smile. I really have the best brides!Bride tribe seeing Danielle all dolled up! Jack got ready at his family home right by the church. Dad stepped in to help Jack get ready. Best man duties. Weddings are full of emotions. Times your heart is so full of love and happiness and times where your heart aches. Jack’s mom recently passed away so the couple made sure to include her many times throughout the day – such as Jack and this portrait and Danielle’s napkin wrapped around her bouquet. I loved Jack’s navy suit – so handsome!!!The ceremony was held at St. Raphael’s in East Meadow. I love the natural light this church has to offer. The bride has arrived! Last moments alone with Dad… Jack is one lucky man! Newlyweds!!! Not sure if you saw the weather forecast this past weekend, but it pretty much said a whole lot of rain. It started to drizzle once we arrived in Locust Valley but that didn’t stop us!I love that contrast of the navy blue and deep red. So different for a summer wedding but it is awesome!!! To avoid getting completely wet from the rain we head inside for some portraits of the bride and groom. This estate had plenty of interior space to work with! When we noticed the rain stopped though, we couldn’t help but go back outside and make use of these gorgeous grounds! How vibrant is that red?! My goodness – and those greens!!! Aren’t Danielle and Jack just adorable? Love them! The happiest newlyweds! After wrapping up our portraits it was time to head over to The Fox Hollow for their cocktail hour and reception. Their reception was held in the winter garden room with high glass ceilings and cozy fireplace. A few more portraits right before dancing the night away!Danielle and Jack had quite the party! Danielle’s family flew in from Ireland and were not shy in the slightest! Parent dances always pull at the heartstrings. Jack shared a special dance with his sisters dedicated to their mother, and his father played the drums with the band. It was a beautiful tribute to their mother. Congratulations Danielle and Jack – wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Cheers!
